Happy Wednesday! I hope this finds you well and enjoying life. This week I have been slowly working on my Spring cleaning list. Monday I tackled my washing machine, and yesterday it was the fridge. Now, my Spring cleaning is probably not as deep a cleaning as others, because of my back injury and subsequent chronic pain, I have to break my tasks down and keep them as simple as possible. None the less, I still feel the rejuvenation of having a refreshed home going into the warmer weather. (more…)

Happy Wednesday! I hope this finds you well and enjoying life. We are in the process of adjusting back to daily life, after our wonderful weekend getaway. It was such an enjoyable and relaxing time. Now that we are home, and my parents, who took such good care of the animals here at the refuge while we were gone, have returned to PA, things are returning to normal. As I get things ready to celebrate Easter this weekend, my brain has not been too focused on my stitching. This week I am working on putting the beads on Lucky Day, which I had stitched up during the car ride to and from the B&B we stayed at this weekend, and I put my Sugar Skull Stormtrooper on the frame to work on here and there this week. Greetings from Lake Lure, NC! Hubby and I are away this weekend for our annual anniversary weekend. Don’t worry the animals at the refuge are in the good hands of the fur-grandparents. Because we have chosen a life full of furbabies, we don’t have the luxury of going away often. But we make it a point to get one weekend where we can spend time together and reconnect away from the stress of everyday life. What a great place we have chosen this year! (more…)

Happy Wednesday! I hope this finds you well and enjoying life. Here we are another Wednesday in March and we are expecting snow again! Hubby and I are scheduled to head out this weekend for our annual weekend away, here’s hoping the weather doesn’t keep our doggy sitters (i.e. my parents) from coming down. As far as my stitching goes I am still working on Into The Jungle. If you follow me on social media, you may have noticed that I use the hashtag #stitchingismytherapy as do many others. Well, this is not a platitude for me, stitching truly is my therapy, for both emotional and physical ailments. (more…)

Happy Sunday! How is your week going? Hopefully, all is good with you. Here at the refuge, we have been trying to keep things calm and peaceful. Spring is almost upon us and that means it is time for spring cleaning and spring break. Due to my injury, spring cleaning takes me a few weeks to complete, and it probably isn’t as detailed as others, but it is enough to get rid of the winter cobwebs. Hubby is itching for spring break, teachers need a reprieve too! Next weekend we have our annual Marriage Renewal Weekend and we are looking forward to having time away together. (more…)

Originally I had planned to switch off to Fabulous Women on Monday, however, with my back acting up and the surprise springtime snow, I just really wanted to keep working on Into The Jungle. Therefore, I decided to hold off on switching projects and continue working on the borders for Into The Jungle. (more…)

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. My northern friends and family are gearing up for a second round of snow, thanks to the current storm system, here at the refuge we are getting mostly rain.
